The Kings Speech Charity Screening

Premiere Scene’s Claire and Anthony Bueno were delighted to attend the UK Charity Screening of The Kings Speech in aid of the Michael Palin Centre for Stuttering Children. Interviews include director Tom Hooper, Colin Firth and Michael Palin

THE KING'S SPEECH is based on the true story of Queen Elizabeth II's father and his remarkable friendship with maverick speech therapist Lionel Logue. Fascinating, moving and often humorous it charts the personal relationship that developed between England’s reluctant King, (George VI) plagued by a nervous stammer, and the irreverent Australian speech therapist.

Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children

The Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children was opened in 1993 by writer and actor Michael Palin, whose support stems from his personal experience of his father’s severe stammer and his part as the stammering character, Ken, in the film `A Fish called Wanda`. The Centre provides specialist support every year for more than 300 children and young adults aged 2 – 19 years from all parts of the UK and it has attained a reputation for excellence that is both national and international.
